Meri Fisher considers herself the candidate running for Logan Municipal Council that best represents the common or low income people. Fisher works at a hotel as a breakfast hostess and she says, unfortunately, she sees Logan spending her tax money foolishly at times. An example she sites is the new club house at the Logan River Golf Course. “I don’t golf but we gave our money and our support to the golfing public. I think they should spend a little more money on the kids, like the skate park or the swimming pool,” Fisher said on KVNU’s Crosstalk show Friday. “If they would have spent the extra money, I know they’re complaining about taxes now, but spent the extra money on a pool that you can use all year long would have been a better option.” Fisher is one of 13 candidates running for three open seats on the city council.
