BRIGHAM CITY, Utah (AP) — Officials say a northern Utah wildfire in Box Elder County that is now at 5,000 acres should be fully contained by Thursday evening.High winds pushed the Maple Canyon Fire north overnight after the blaze started from a lightning strike about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday about 20 miles north of Promontory Point.Firefighters say they were successful in keeping flames away from some structures near the Fort Ranch area. The fire was 55 percent contained by midday Thursday.A spokesman from the Utah Division of Forestry, Fire and State Lands tells the Salt Lake Tribune about 30 firefighters worked the blaze overnight and more people were expected to join crews in the air and on the ground.
