Granting One Wish at a time to deserving people

A new organization in Cache Valley aims to brighten the lives of people over 18 who are struggling with a terminal illness. One Wish Inc. co-founder Shelley Pardoe says to help grant this ‘one wish’ it will take the help of people in the community. “We’re hoping that we can make these wishes possible through the generosity and support of our community,” Pardoe said. “One wish we decided we want to dedicate this to (is) making a wish come true for someone struggling with the challenges that come to them, and their families, as they near the end of a terminal illness. It’s our hope to ease the burden for them and bring some peace and comfort into their lives.” On KVNU’s Crosstalk show Thursday, Pardoe said a lot of the wishes will be service-oriented with some as small as a plate of homemade cookies. One Wish Inc. is hosting an open house on Thursday, September 22 from 12 noon to 7 p.m. at 1047 South 100 West Suite #165 in Logan. For more information, call 753-7706 or visit the website
