Most of the 13 candidates running for three seats on the Logan Municipal Council have praised the city’s financial management but there is one project several have been criticizing. That project is a recent renovation of the Logan River Golf Course Club House. Last month the municipal council learned there was a cost over-run of $125,000 on the club house project but now that figure has been reduced. At Tuesday night’s council meeting Parks and Recreation Director Russ Akina said an evaluation has been done and the cost over-run is now down to $95,000. The council voted four to one in favor of the change-order. Laraine Swenson was the lone councilmember who voted against it.
