It has just recently been approved, an Associate Degree of Technology which comes as a partnership between Utah State University and Bridgerland Applied Technology College. John Davidson, vice president over all instruction at BATC, says this allows some of the students who have attended Bridgerland to use some of the credit they have earned at USU. “If they’ve earned a 900 hour certificate at Bridgerland they can now move into USU’s Associate Degree program that they’re offering at their Brigham City campus,” Davidson explained, “and receive 30 hours of credit for any work they have done at Bridgerland, which is a great opportunity for anyone who has attended Bridgerland and wants to move up to the university.” On KVNU’s Crosstalk show Thursday, he said people can get more information by calling Bridgerland or going to its website. Davidson says more information will also be available Wednesday when a big Job Fair/Tech Expo is held on the Bridgerland campus from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. He says job seekers are encouraged to come and there will be at least 30 employers there to talk about available jobs at their respective businesses.
