It looks like a mixed retail and apartment complex at Church Street and Federal Avenue is in the future for downtown Logan. Economic Development Director Kirk Jensen says other areas are also being revitalized. Jensen says there will soon be a Lewiston State Bank at 300 South Main and Jensen says he believes that will trigger other development in the area.On KVNU’s Crosstalk show Monday, Jensen said two years ago some improvements were made to the parking behind the Ellen Eccles Theatre and now that will be extended to the north.”Two years ago we just took care of the south part of that lot but now the entire area behind that theater will be (improved),” Jensen said. Jensen said it will not be resurfaced but will, “have a new top coat put on. It will look much, much better (with) new signage. It will be much more convenient for people come to the theater. “There’ll be more parking stalls. We picked up maybe 45-50 parking stalls.”He says the signage will be much more clear and that is really going to help.
