Former Aggie basketball players update

The European league has started the regular season and here are some of the results:JAYCEE CARROLL – Real Madrid starts off with a victory 88-70 over Fuenlabrada. They played yesterday Oct. 9. Looks like Jaycee came off the bench and played 18 minutes in the victory. He was 2-5 from the field, 0-1 from 3, 2-2 FT, had 1 rebound, 3 assists, 2 steals and finished with 6 points. An interesting side note, for me, is that former teammate of Gary Wilkinson in New Zealand last season, Kirk Penny, played for Fuenlabrada and finished with 25 points in the losing effort.SPENCER NELSON – Gran Canaria dropped their first game to Unicaja 85-68. I was interested to see how they would fare with the loss of Jaycee Carroll. Spencer Nelson came off the bench and played 16 minutes. He was 2-3 from the field, 0-3 from 3, 1-2 FT, had 1 rebound, 1 assist, and 1 steal. He finished with 5 points in the loss.TAI WESLEY – Den Bosch, Eiffel Towers, gets the victory over Weert, 77-64. Tai started and had 30 minutes. He was 3-9 from the field, 1-2 FT, had 9 boards, 3 assists, 2 steals, and finished with 7 points. This was also the first week of the regular season in Holland too.Funny story about the team’s friendly game vs Antwerp. It was held on Oct. 7, that is when article was written, and it finished in a 58-58 TIE. I think Wesley had 11 points in the game. GARY WILKINSON – The defending champions were looking to get off on the right foot in their campaign to repeat in the NBL. They started off with 2 road games and came away with 2 double digit victories. First they were at the Gold Coast and came away with the 102 – 87 victory. GW played 27 minutes and was 9-13 from field, 3-3 from 3, had 9 boards, 1 steal and finished with 21 points.Game 2 was on the road vs the Wollongong Hawks and the Breakers defeated the Hawks 98-82. GW played 30 minutes and was 6-9 from the field, 2-3 from 3, 2-4 FT, had 3 boards, 1 assist, and finished with 16 points.
