Rash of smash & grab car burgs in Logan, county

A rash of smash and grab car burglaries Monday night has Logan City Police and Cache County Sheriff’s deputies on the look out for suspects. Logan Assistant Police Chief Jeff Curtis says nine reported crimes in southwest Logan weren’t the typical ‘crime of opportunity’ situations where the vehicle is left unlocked. He says these were crimes where automobiles were specifically targeted because the items were left in plain sight. Curtis says the stolen items included iPods, cell phones, and purses or bags. He says the windows were broken in, the items were taken, and the perpetrator fled. There are no suspects at this time but anyone who may have seen suspicious activity is asked to call the police.
