It looks like the show will go on. But members of the Logan Municipal Council agreed Tuesday night that changes will have to be made to avoid another $60,000 deficit that Freedom Fire experienced in its first year.Logan Parks and Recreation Director Russ Akina asked for a budget of $200,000, compared to $250,000 last year. Akina assured council members that several changes are under consideration for the fireworks extravaganza that brought almost 13,000 people into Romney Stadium.Akina says some ticket prices may be lowered, the committee will pursue RAPZ Tax money and efforts will be made to bring more people into the stadium instead of watching the fireworks from outside.Freedom Fire has received rave reviews. Even so, council members said if it goes over-budget next year it will probably not get a third try.
