D.J. Nelson was 28 of 39 passing for 417 yards and 5 TDs and rushed with 24 carries for 189 yards and 2 TDs as the Logan High Grizzlies advanced to the 4A Championship game by beating the Bountiful Braves 59 – 30. In racking up the yardage, Nelson established a new state record for total offense: 606 yards (previous record by Ryan Zimmerman of Mountain Crest). The Grizzlies will face East next Friday at 11 a.m. at Rice-Eccles Stadium. East defeated Timpview 24-10 Thursday afternoon in Salt Lake City. Logan defeated East 46-14 on the last game of the regular season, October 19.
