A closure on 1000 West in Logan is scheduled this weekend in order to facilitate paving at the Logan River Bridge. Utah Department of Transportation spokesman Vic Saunders says the closure will be between 1600 South and 1000 South on 1000 West. Saunders says construction crews on UDOT’s Tenth West Reconstruction Project are asking to complete temporary paving on the bridge to support traffic over this bridge on 1000 West throughout the coming winter. He says to facilitate this effort, 1000 West will be closed from 1600 South to 1000 South from 7 p.m. on Saturday, December 3 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, December 4. Motorists will use two detour routes around the closure. North-bound 1000 West traffic will detour at 1600 South to 600 West and then back to 1000 West at 1000 South. South-bound traffic will detour at 1000 South to 600 West and then back to 1000 West at 1600 South.
