This is something that we can build on and hopefully get better. That is what we will try and do. Our defensive effort, for the most part was really good. We get stymied on offense at times, we have got to develop more weapons and more confidence, but defense was good enough and offense was good enough to get us a win, so we will take it.” “Danny Berger hasn’t played in years. It’s not like he hasn’t played since last year; he hasn’t played for years. He went on a mission and the plan was to red-shirt him. The reason we brought him off of his red-shirt is for what you saw tonight. He has a really good feel. He tried to make some ill-advised passes, but he can make shots. He can make plays, and he has a good feel offensively. We desperately need that, so it was nice to see him perform. Preston Medlin had a really good game; Adam Thoseby came on and I thought guarded really hard. Kyisean Reed came off the bench, and we need him to play full throttle, he kind of plays in spurts right now. He had a good spurt tonight; he got some points and some rebounds. We’re not as cohesive as we’d like or need to be. I was pleased with the way we rallied and chipped away to come back. Kevin Woods came in and gave us a great lift. He got us going and moving offensively. We knocked some balls loose, had some conversion opportunities. But ultimately it came down to defensive stops, and we fell short. Obviously, you don’t want to start anywhere in the whole with a 9-1 deficit, and that was again, a credit to them and our inability to execute and convert on the offensive end. I give them credit for a game they thought they needed. They had to have it, and they were successful.”
