SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A Utah sheriff’s deputy fatally shot during a traffic stop last week will be laid to rest on Monday. Funeral services for Millard County Deputy Josie Greathouse Fox are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday at a Mormon church building in her hometown of Delta. Greathouse Fox was shot and killed on Jan. 5 by a man whom police say was leaving a drug deal. Roberto Miramontes Roman was arrested Jan. 6 and charged with capital murder and tampering with evidence in connection with the shooting. He is being held without bail in the Millard County Jail. A Millard County prosecutor has said he is likely to seek the death penalty if Roman is convicted on the murder charge. Roman’s brother, Mike Roman, has expressed condolences to the deputy’s family, but says his brother is innocent.
