Logan listed as a top five location for people looking to start over in 2012

TheStreet.com tallied a list of the six best cities for starting life over in 2012 and it turns out Logan, UT was number four. Why would somebody need to start over? Maybe they need a fresh start following a divorce, layoff, or other life-changing event. If a person needs this fresh start then clearly Logan has many things to offer. Logan has an unemployment rate that is very low at 5.7%. If somebody has come to Logan to start up a relationship it’s a good thing because the singles percentage is very high at 16.4%. Utah State University is here and helps with both of these. This university can help a person if they are looking to broaden their education. “Cache Valley has a very energetic and well-educated population because of the quality of people you find here,” says Sandy Emile, President and CEO of Cache Valley Chamber of Commerce in Logan. Emile also says, “we have a diverse economy so it doesn’t matter if you are starting over from the ground and you are a young employee or you are starting over as a seasoned employee with years of experience.” The city has many things to do for fun for those who love the outdoors. People can go fishing, hunting, skiing, snowboarding, cycling, etc. Plus there are the arts and theaters. There are things to do all year round in Logan. Logan has a diverse economy, with agriculture, call-centers, bio-medical, high-tech, food-processing, education, etc. With such a low unemployment rate there is a good chance a person will find a job if they are looking. If a person wants a start over in 2012 Logan is one of the top places in the country to consider.
