Princess Party for fun and to raise funds

It’s a Princess Party and all are invited to join Cinderella, Snow White, Tinkerbell and other favorites Saturday, January 14 at the second annual Princess Party hosted by the Child and Family Support Center.Leigh Dean, the center’s development coordinator, says it was so popular last year that it has moved to the Utah State University Taggart Student Center Ballrom and there are two party times: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. or 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.Dean says during this time of slow economy fundraisers are necessary to keep the center’s doors open.”We’re trying to find things that are unique to the community,” Dean said on a recent KVNU Crosstalk show. “We feel that the princess party was a huge success last year. “We had lots of little princesses come and we have live princesses walking around. The overall atmosphere is great. The little girls were just in awe of the princesses.”She says there will be a princess store with exciting princess items for sale along with a tea party, princess etiquette and princess games. Each princess attending will receive a tiara and a wand to take home. The pre-registration price is $20 per princess through January 6 then it is $30 through January 13 or $40 at the door.
