USU College Republicans hosting Gov. Gary Herbert for Pizza & Politics

The Utah State University College Republicans will be hosting Utah Governor Gary Herbert as part of their Pizza & Politics series on Wednesday, January 18 at 4:00 P.M. Governor Herbert will be giving a short lecture and will participate in a question and answer period. “This will be an excellent chance for students and community members to meet Governor Herbert in person and be able to ask him questions. It’s not very often that you get to meet the Governor of your state,” said Casey Saxton, USU College Republican spokesperson. The USU College Republicans will be providing pizza, and admission is free of charge. The event will take place in the USU Engineering Building in room 103, a different location from previous Pizza & Politics events. All students and community members are invited to attend the event. The College Republicans feel it is important for students and community members to be informed about politics and for them to get to know their elected leaders. The group has also recently hosted U.S. Representative Rob Bishop, Former U.S. Senator Jake Garn, and U.S. Senator Orrin Hatch as guest speakers for their Pizza & Politics series.
