For almost a year North Logan has been preparing for and planning a future city center. Mayor Lloyd Berentzen, who was on the council for eight years before he took over as mayor in January, says the city center will hopefully be a place for residents to shop, dine, work, conduct business, recreate, entertain and celebrate life.On KVNU’s Crosstalk show Thursday, Berentzen says an online survey is now in place until February 20 and he would like to see a lot of public input.”If you go to the

there will be a video you can listen to,” Berentzen explained. “After that it asks you to participate in a survey. “It allows you to give input on what do you think we ought to be doing with this area. It kind of gives some ideas that we’ve got in terms of what we envision at this point but should those things be tweaked, should they be modified, exactly how should we go forward? And that’s what we’re looking for right now.”Berentzen said the area where the city center is planned is from 200 East to 400 East and from 1800 North to 2200 North. He said most of that area is open land right now.
