Logan City Council adopts Downtown Specific Plan

The vote was unanimous Tuesday night as members of the Logan Municipal Council approved a so-called “Downtown Specific Plan.” The plan is designed to guide the city’s downtown development, transportation enhancements and provide market and economic recommendations for the city and the Logan Downtown Alliance. Gary Saxton, downtown manager for the Alliance, says downtown merchants have shown a lot of support for the plan as has the Cache Chamber of Commerce. No one at the public hearing spoke against the plan. Adams Neighborhood Council Chair Marilyn Griffin said she was glad the plan has a residential component.
