Ogden– The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) advises motorists of the following road construction and maintenance activities that may cause traffic impacts in the state’s Northern Region: Davis County North Salt Lake Mar 29-Apr 5: Work is underway to complete repairs to the subsurface of north-bound I-15 in North Salt Lake, where a natural gas pipeline crosses under the roadway. Crews are working nightly, from 7 p.m. to 11 a.m., near milepost 313 on NB I-15. Lanes will be closed, beginning at 7 p.m. and congestion on I-15 is expected to be moderate to heavy during this work. Motorists should consider using alternate routes, such as north-bound US-89 or I-215. Clearfield Mar 29-Apr 5: Work is underway on an auxiliary lane on northbound I-15, between 650 North (SR-103) in Clearfield and 5600 South (SR-97) in Roy. Crews are working Sunday through Friday, from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly. During these nighttime closures, the outside lane of traffic may be closed or restricted. Daytime work in the interstate median or outside shoulder will also continue throughout the remainder of this project. Motorists should be alert for vehicles suddenly slowing down to enter, or leave this work area. Motorists with time-sensitive travel should use NB US-89 in Farmington to WB I-84 in Uintah to NB I-15 at Riverdale, or NB SR-126 at 650 North in Clearfield to EB 5600 South (SR-97) in Roy, returning to NB I-15 at the 5600 South Interchange. Weber County West Haven Mar 29-Apr 5: Work is underway on the reconstruction and signalization of the intersection of SR-37 (4000 South) and SR-134 (4700 West) in Hooper. Crews will be constructing right turn lanes, as well as installing ADA-compliant pedestrian ramps and a new traffic signal. During this project one lane of traffic will be maintained, but right and left turns from 4000 South to north-bound 4700 West, and from south-bound 4700 West to east- and west-bound 4000 West may be impacted. Cache County Logan Mar 29-Apr 5: Crews have resumed landscaping and sidewalk work on SR-252 (1000 West) as part of Phase One of the Tenth West Reconstruction Project as weather permits. All of this work is being conducted off of the main roadway, but construction vehicles may be parked on the shoulders. Apr 2-5: Crews will be conducting crack sealing on 400 North (US-89) between Main Street (US-91) and Canyon Road near the mouth of Logan Canyon, between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m. daily. Traffic will be reduced to a single lane in one direction in the area of the work being accomplished, with flaggers on hand to control traffic movements. Motorists with time sensitive travel, should consider alternate routes.
