SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A new study rates Morgan County as Utah’s healthiest county, while Carbon County rates as the least healthy. The national study released Tuesday was conducted by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute. It measures factors such as adult smoking and obesity, excessive drinking and the rate of motor vehicle deaths, as well as the quality of clinical care and the ease of access to doctors. It also rates social factors including the violent crime rate, income and education. Cache, Utah, Summit and Davis counties completed the top five in the study’s rankings. The least healthy counties, in descending order, were Uintah, Emery, Duchesne, Sevier and Carbon. The tiny counties of Rich, Piute and Daggett were not ranked.
