OGDEN, Utah (AP) — Hill Air Force Base is set to host thousands of people this weekend for an air show and open house.
KSL reports the show had been held every other year but it was postponed last year due to the lagging economy.
Some of the performances will include the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, The Red Eagles and pyrotechnics.
Officials say up to 400,000 people attended the event in 2009. Nearly a half-million spectators are expected this weekend.
The base opens at 8 a.m. Saturday and performances start at 10 a.m. The public can come and go as they please until 5 p.m.
This year’s theme will be “Warrior’s Over the Wasatch: A Legacy of Valor.” Visitors can buy food at the event or bring their own, but coolers aren’t permitted.
