The Cache Chamber of Commerce is hosting a 100th birthday celebration. The Chamber’s president and CEO Sandy Emile says the celebration is planned in conjunction with next week’s Summerfest Arts Fair.
On KVNU’s Crosstalk show Wednesday, Emile invited everyone – chamber members, non-members, local residents and visitors – to help celebrate.
“They can stop by the Chamber of Commerce and have a piece of birthday cake with us and visit with our chamber membership and our leaders with the chamber,” Emile said. “We’re going to be running breakout sessions that day on Friday, the 15th of June.
“We’ll be running breakout sessions from noon to 3 and give the community a little information about how they can grow businesses or just an example of some of the opportunities the chamber gives businesses.”
Emile says checking the history of the Chamber of Commerce you find some things never change. Even in the earliest days traffic on Main Street was a major issue. In the early days people were wondering where they could park their horse-drawn buggies because automobiles were taking up too much parking space.
