Cyclists concluding educational program with ride into Logan Saturday

A lot of different events are coming up this summer in Logan, according to Gary Saxton Downtown Manager for the Logan Downtown Alliance. Summerfest will be going on next week opening Thursday and continuing through Saturday, June 16 on the grounds of the Logan Tabernacle.

Saxton says prior to that, this Saturday, June 9 a group of 30 cyclists making their way through Utah as part of a multi-faceted educational program, will conclude the final leg of their ride in Logan.

“The Road Respect Bike Tour that started in St. George on Monday will conclude (Saturday) in Logan at the (Historic Cache County) courthouse,” Saxton explains. “It’s a 517 mile ride to bring awareness about bicycles and vehicles and how we share the road together.”

Saxton says everyone in the community is invited to attend the free Final Leg Party from 4 to 6 p.m. He says there will be free giveaways, free bicycle helmets for the first 25 children to arrive with their parents and bicycles, also free food and drinks, a bicycle skills course, live music and a lot of fun.
