Congressional candidates squaring off in Logan debate Thursday

Two Democrats vying to challenge Republican incumbent Rob Bishop in the First Congressional District will debate each other at a public event to be held Thursday, June 14 at 5 p.m. in Logan.  Cache County Democrats invite the public to attend the debate at Logan High School’s Little Theater between Ryan Combe and Donna McAleer.

The winner of the June 26 primary will face Bishop in the November general election. A meet and greet hour will follow the debate allowing those attending to speak one-on-one with the candidates. In addition, other local Democratic candidates will be there to meet and visit with. They include Doug Thompson, running for Utah House District 4, Roger Donohoe, running for House District 3 and Al Snyder, candidate for House District 5.

Cache County Democratic Party Chairman Vince Wickwar says the debate will be an important way for Cache County voters to become acquainted with the candidates.
