At least 21 downtown business locations will participate as venues for another Cache Valley Center for the Arts (CVCA) Gallery Walk, Friday, 6-9 p.m.
“It is such a wonderful evening that artists want to participate as well as the businesses,” said Amanda Castillo of the CVCA. “They want to be part of this wonderful thing that happens downtown. It’s such a great thing to see how many businesses support these artists as well as to see how many artists we have that are out there.”
Castillo said three more gallery walks remain this year with Friday’s event followed by September 7 and December 7.
“Because this has become a popular event we’re looking at it becoming a little more regular. We’re considering having it every other month, starting in January, and always on the third Friday. People like to know when it’s happening; in the past we’ve held it one month on the first Friday, then the next time on the third Friday then the next month on the second Friday. In the future we want to make it more consistent.”
Castillo said many of the artists are selling their works.
“We have such a really nice lineup and a nice mix of artists as well as locations. And it’s going to be great weather on Friday.”
