Logan’s Municipal Council announced earlier this year that they would be working on the city’s land development code this summer. Michelle King, a neighborhood council chair for the Woodruff area, says it’s summer and she hopes to see the work start up soon.
King says she is most concerned about design standards.
“It’s just far over-reaching,” King says. “There are things that some people would consider important and legitimate, like safety standards and construction and even zoning types.
“But when you start getting into what type of material a building is and what type of landscaping and how many shrubs they have, I think it’s far too over-reaching.”
King says she feels the council has toned things down some in the land development code and she’s pleased about that. She encourages other residents to give input into the contents of the code.
