The Loaves and Fishes Community meal is sponsoring a Cane Ball tournament on Saturday, July 21 for members of the Burmese community. The tournament will start immediately after a free meal which will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The National Children’s Study is coordinating the event with the English Language Center. Loaves and Fishes provides a free meal the third Saturday of each month at Logan’s First Presbyterian Church, 12 South 200 West.

Amy Anderson, of the National Children’s Study, says while a goal of the meals is to provide for those in need, of equal importance is providing an opportunity for the entire community to gather together. Anyone with questions about the Cane Ball Tournament should call (435) 797-1125.
