Despite new office in Nashville, Chem Dry staying in Logan

LOGAN– Chem Dry is here to stay according to Ed Quinlan, vice president of franchise services for the well-known carpet-cleaning company founded by Robert Harris. Despite reports that Harris Research would be moving the company’s headquarters to a new office building in Nashville, the headquarters will remain in Logan.

KVNU received a news release from the Nashville Business Journal stating the company was moving its headquarters from Logan to Nashville, but Quinlan said Chem Dry will simply have offices in both places.

“We’ve been owned by several different private equity companies, and then in 2006 the Home Depot purchased us. Last year, we were sold from the Home Depot back into the hands of a private equity company,” Quinlan said. “That private equity company opened up an office for us in Nashville, Tennessee. We have an office in Logan and an office in Nashville.”

Quinlan said there are 65 employees at the Logan headquarters and another 20 employees in Nashville. He said the company is doing very well, and expects to have a presence in Cache Valley for many years.
