Mitt Romney has come under pressure for refusing to release more than two years of his tax returns and for his work with Bain Capital. Many Democrats, and even some Republicans, are saying he should release more tax information but not one local Republican official.
David James, former Cache County Republican Party Chairman and current member of Utah’s Republican Central Committee, says Romney has released enough information.
“The Obama agenda is very clearly laid out that they want to cast Governor Romney in a certain light,” James said. “The release of tax forms will, if anything, aid that effort of the Democrat side. I don’t think he should do it. Governor Romney is releasing current tax forms. He has had to release various tax forms in the past for other races and other things.”
James says Romney should only be expected to release what is absolutely required.
