MC blanks Olympus in three sets

The girls of Mountain Crest volleyball continued its streak of excellence Thursday with a 3-0 set win against Olympus.

“I felt like we were improving,” Mustangs head coach Lori Karaghouli said. “Even tonight I felt like each game we did better.”

The Mustangs tackled each set against the Titans to take a clear win, with matches scoring 25-19, 25-18 and 25-15. Karaghouli said Thursday night’s match was a fun one.

Katie Harvey and Milanna Barnes led the game with seven kills each. Harvey led the team in kills during Tuesday’s game against Bear River as well.

With four wins on their scorecard, the Mustangs take on South Summit Wednesday and then open up Region 5 action by taking on valley rival Logan Thursday.

“We’re just going to keep practicing and keep coming together as a team,” Karaghouli said. “That’s it.”
