A Thursday night (September 20) event at Sky View High School – “Stand Up America” – is a gathering of citizens who share conservative Republican values and want to do what they can to make a difference in America.
Tamara Kendrick is the event organizer.
“There will be powerful music with fabulous speakers talking about family and our country and what we can do to make this national strong,” she said. “I think it will be a wonderful evening.”
Kendrick was motivated to create this event after attending Republican caucus meetings and learning in precinct training what can be done to make a difference and what is lost if more don’t become involved.
“It was a powerful message and I felt more people needed to hear it than the 40 people in the room that night,” she said. “I wanted to open it up to the valley to pass on this concept that more of us need to be involved.”
Kendrick said speakers would include Cache County Republican Chairman Boyd Pugmire, Corey Drumright who directs the Romney campaign in Utah and Shelley Locke who appears across the country and around the world in support of families, womanhood and motherhood.
Music will be provided by the Town Singers along with soloists Mark Gibbons and Jeff Tingey and others.
Kendrick said a post-event gathering would include Republican candidates from Cache Valley answering citizen questions.
The hour-long program begins at 7 p.m.
