LOGAN — Mitt Romney is spending some time in Utah raising money for his campaign, but the Romney for President Bus will be heading to Cache Valley looking for volunteers.
Bus Director Amber Pugmire said the Romney for President Bus will be at the Cache republican Party’s “Victory Center” at 1451 North 200 East from 5-8 p.m. She said local and state Republican officials are participating and there will be plenty of campaign materials available.
“I’m hoping to get people to sign up to volunteer at the Victory Center. We are doing a lot of work with the battleground states, so we need a lot of volunteers. We don’t do any campaigning in Utah, we’re just working on battleground states.”
Pugmire said the bus will be at Utah State University Wednesday from 9:00 to 10:30 a m. The location is between the Taggart student Center and the Logan LDS Institute. She said there is widespread support for Romney in Utah, but because it’s expected to be a close race, volunteers are badly needed in other areas.
