Jensen and Goldman lead Lady Bobcats in rout of Weber

PLEASANT VIEW— Lindsey Jensen drained in incredible seven 3-pointers and Sky View scored 30 first-quarter points as the Bobcats went on the road and easily handled Weber, 83-64, Wednesday night.

Jensen finished with a game and season-high 29 points, while Tara Goldman added 21 and nearly got a double-double as she also grabbed eight rebounds. As dominant as the Bobcats were offensively in the first quarter, they were even more impressive on the defensive side of the ball during the first period.

The Warriors managed just seven points in the initial quarter, and found themselves trailing by 23 after just eight minutes of action.

However, as lopsided as the first quarter was, the second quarter was just the opposite. Both teams combined to score 21 points, but despite the effort from Weber, the Warriors still faced a 23 point deficit at the break.

Along with Jensen and Goldman, Kendra Falslev also had a solid game and filled the stat sheet with 12 points, seven rebounds, and four assists. For the Warrirs, Erin Reichle did her best to keep up with Jensen as she drilled four 3-pointers and finished with a team-high 26 points.

Sky View continued its dominance following the intermission, building a 31-point lead heading into the final quarter of action. The Bobcats were outscored in the final quarter 21-9, while the JV squad saw plenty of action.

The win was the Bobcats’ third in a row and SV improves to 9-1 on the season. The game was also the first of a four-game road trip to start the new year. Sky View will finish up non-region play at Murray Friday at 7 p.m., before kicking off Region 5 action with games at Mountain Crest and Bonneville.
