Rollover Driver Aiflifted To McKay Dee Hospital

LOGAN — Utah Highway Patrol have released the name of the driver in Wednesday’s vehicle rollover on Valley View Highway, State Road 30. She is 41 year old Terena Lund of Petersboro.

According to reports, Wednesday morning, a white Buick passenger car was traveling east behind a red Hyundai passenger car, driven by Lund. The driver of the Buick stated that a slower unknown car was traveling in front of the red Hyundai and it was his intention to pass the Hyundai. The driver of the Buick crossed over against double yellow lines. As the two cars drew next to each other, Lund also crossed over the double yellow lines. The two cars collided side to side, near mile post 104. The Buick went off the road and down an embankment. The Hyundai struck a bridge support and flipped onto its top. Lund suffered extensive injuries and was transported to Logan Regional Hospital. She was later air-lifted to McKay Dee Hospital in Ogden. As of Thursday afternoon she was listed in serious but stable condition.

The Buick was driven by a 17 year old male with 4 juvenile passengers, none of which sustained any injuries.

Traffic was diverted through Benson for several hours while crews cleaned up the accident.
