Librarians binding books and bonding

RICHMOND – The newly formed Cache Valley Library Association met for the first time Wednesday at the Richmond Public Library.

Pamela Martin, reference librarian for Utah State University’s Merrill-Cazier Library, says the organization is for those dedicated to connecting libraries and promoting professional development in the Cache Valley area.

She says anyone interested is invited to participate with the group. A lot of mingling happened at the Wednesday meeting, but the group also focused on repairing books.

“If you have any books that get torn up, I know if you have kids this might happen, but we are…sewing books in particular so you can repair books and not throw them out.”
