LOGAN — A 53-year-old Logan man was arrested Thursday morning at the Logan LDS Temple, 175 North 300 East. Kelly J. Packer was arrested after walking into the Temple and making his way into a woman’s dressing room.

Logan Assistant Police Chief Jeff Curtis said that Packer walked through the front doors of the Temple and past a reception desk. He then continued into the Temple, going into a women’s dressing room, where he was stopped by Temple staff.

Assistant Chief Curtis said Temple staff called police after stopping Packer around 7:37 a.m. Thursday. Paramedics were also called after Packer reported suffering a headache. Police helped remove Packer from the building and arrested him on an outstanding warrant out of Provo.

The Logan Temple is owned and operated by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Curtis said Temple staff do not plan on pressing charges.
