Everyone interested is invited to attend a community forum Friday evening where the issue of Cache Valley Gun Violence will be discussed. Pastor Paul Heins says the forum will start at 6:30 p.m. in Bruner Hall of the First Presbyterian Church, 299 West Center in Logan.

On KVNU’s Crosstalk program Friday, Pastor Heins said local panelists will be Logan Police Chief Gary Jensen, Assistant Principal Dan Cox from Mount Logan Middle School, State Representative and physician Dr. Ed Redd, a representative from the Cache Valley Public Shooting Range and Mary Ann Martindale from Alliance for a Better Utah.

“We wanted to bring a range of people to the table. They’ll introduce their thoughts on the issue,” Pastor Heins said. “We’ll have written questions from the audience that will spur an open discussion in the second half of the forum. There will be some give and take.

“It will be moderated so that the most people possible have a chance to have a voice in the discussion and so that we can cover as much ground as we can.”
