New theater company preparing for Footloose the musical

Four Seasons Theatre is a Cache Valley community theater company in its second year, created to provide quality, affordable family entertainment.

Company President Kody Rash said the company rolled out its first production, A Christmas Carol, near the end of 2011.

“Last year we did West Side Story in the fall, followed by Christmas Carol again. We have decided to make that a tradition every year. It’s a show we love and it’s a great way to start the holidays. In March of this year we presented Michael McLean’s The Garden. In October we will present Jekyll and Hyde, followed by Christmas Carol in December.”

Auditions were held in mid-April and rehearsals will begin this week for the company’s next production, Footloose, June 13-22.

“It’s a great show, full of energy, we’re really excited about it. It is based on the movie but it is quite a bit different. It’s more family friendly and we have an incredibly talented cast that we’re excited to work with, great voices and fantastic dancing.”

Four Seasons stages its productions at the Sky View High School Auditorium.

“That way we are able to keep our ticket prices pretty low and we are still able to give back to Sky View. We make a donation to the Sky View theater department for every show we do there and to encourage young performers to continue and expand their talents.”
