Chinese concert coming to Logan

The first-ever Chinese Orchestral Concert to come to Logan is scheduled for Saturday, June 15 and it is being hosted by the Little Bloomsbury Foundation. Dr. Brenda Sun, the foundation’s executive director, says there will be two performances, one at 12:30 p.m. and the other at 2:30 p.m. Both performances will be held in the St. John’s Episcopal Church, 85 East 100 North. Sun says it is a benefit performance.

“The proceeds will first and foremost go to sponsor the cost of transportation,” Sun says, “because we’re bringing in 45 musicians, the choir members and instrumentalists and also the Tai Chi and calligraphy and painting maestros from Salt Lake to perform at the concerts.”

She says tickets are $13 and each ticket comes with a half sandwich from Great Harvest Bread and free pre-concert talks one hour before the show. Tickets are available at Great Harvest Bread and online at the Cache Valley Center for the Arts.
