More volunteers needed as summer tourist season picks up

There has been a lot of stepped up traffic in the office of Julie Hollist, executive director of the Cache Valley Visitors Bureau. She says a lot of tourists have already been coming in. In fact, Hollist says her office could use a bit of extra help.

“We have a staff of volunteers and we can always use more,” Hollist says.

She says that volunteers ought to be “people who love to meet new people from all over the world, and can learn or know a little bit about what great things there are to do in Cache Valley.”

As the traffic and demand for services from her office picks up, Hollist says the volunteers certainly get used.

“They help us with all sorts of projects, but mostly meeting the people as they come in and helping answer their questions. It’s a lot of fun and they get to meet a lot of interesting people.”

Hollist says anyone interested in becoming a volunteer should call her office at 755-1890.
