Resurfacing work to continue on 400 North in Logan

Traffic restricted to single lanes as UDOT works to resurface 400 North in Logan.

<span style=”font-family: tahoma,sans-serif;”>LOGAN – The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) advises motorists that resurfacing work will continue on 400 North (US-89) in Logan tomorrow, and motorists are urged to plan ahead to avoid delays.</span>

<span style=”font-family: tahoma,sans-serif;”>UDOT crews have been conducting m</span>icrosurfacing operations on 400 North (US-89) and will continue that work tomorrow, June 20.  Traffic will be shifted to the south side of the street for resurfacing of the north side between Main Street and Champ Drive on the USU campus.

During tomorrow’s work, <span style=”font-family: tahoma,sans-serif;”>400 North will be restricted to one lane in each direction in the work zone. </span> <span style=”font-family: tahoma,sans-serif;”>Cross-street access to/from 400 North (with the exception of 200 East and 600 East) will be closed to accommodate proper curing of the newly placed micro-seal. Detours will be in place for closed cross-streets.</span>

<span style=”font-family: tahoma,sans-serif;”>Business and residential driveways on the north side of 400 North will be closed to allow for cure time before traffic is allowed on it.  During these closures, 400 North business accesses will remain open via Main Street, 100 East and 200 East.  Additionally,</span> <span style=”font-family: tahoma,sans-serif;”>on-street parking along 400 North will not be permitted during the work, and residents have been, and are advised to park on cross-streets during work in their area.</span>

As the project progresses and work is completed between Main Street and Champ Drive, crews will move eastward and begin resurfacing the 400 North roadway shoulders between Champ Drive and Canyon Road at the mouth of Logan Canyon. One lane will be maintained in each direction on 400 North for this work.

This work is temperature sensitive, and therefore must be conducted when optimum temperatures are present. As a result, crews plan to work <span><span>Thursday</span></span> from <span><span>7 a.m. to 5 p.m.</span></span>
