The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) advises motorists that work is beginning on a deceleration-right turn lane from US-91 to South State Street (approximately 9100 North) in Richmond.

Beginning Monday, July 29, crews will construct a new deceleration and right turn lane on US-91 just south of where South State Street (also known as “Whiskey Lane”) joins the the roadway, from milepost 38 through MP 38.2. The purpose of the lane is to enhance motorist safety and improve roadway operations.

During this project, crews will close the right shoulder of US-91 with occasional closures of the right lane in that zone. When the lane is closed, flaggers will direct traffic around the work taking place. Crews will be working at the site daily from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Motorists should reduce speeds when driving through this work zone, be aware of their surroundings, and be prepared to stop at any time.
