Annual Martin Harris Pageant in Clarkston opens in August

A pageant depicting the life of early Mormon leader Martin Harris, “The Man Who Knew” opens August 2 in the amphitheatre located next to the Harris gravesite in Clarkston.

Although it started under the sponsorship of the Clarkston LDS ward, it was later taken over by the church.

On a recent KVNU Crosstalk show, Committee Chairman Sherwin Seamons said although admission is free, tickets are necessary and ticket information is available at www.clarkstonpageant.org.

“It also gives you information about the scrumptious, taste bud-friendly roast beef and potatoes and gravy dinner sponsored by Clarkston city each night of the performance that starts roughly at 5:30,” Seamons said.

Performances of the pageant are scheduled for August 2-3, August 6-10 and August 13-17.
