A semi-truck driver died Monday afternoon on SR-20 in Southern Utah. The Utah Highway patrol said Kaynita Spencer from Glendale, Utah was traveling west, pulling two coal trailers around 4:30. Witnesses told UHP that the truck appeared to be having brake problems and that the brakes were smoking for several miles.
UHP said Spencer attempted to make a left turn, off of SR-20, onto the west frontage road, west of I-15. The truck overturned and rolled off the west side into a pit.
Spencer sustained fatal injuries from the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.
