Preston rallying at Riverdale Resort for injured 17-year-old

<span class=”s1″>PRESTON – A fundraising event Friday in Preston, Idaho has been organized to benefit 17-year old Noah Sparks who was injured in a car accident in late October near Lamont Reservoir in the Preston area.</span>

<p class=”p2″><span class=”s1″>The fundraiser, to help with medical and living expenses, begins Friday at 7 p.m. at Riverdale Resort.</span>

<p class=”p2″><span class=”s1″>After the accident Noah was airlifted to a Pocatello hospital.</span>

<p class=”p2″><span class=”s1″>“He is hospitalized here in Idaho recovering from injuries, which include a broken neck,” said event organizer Jill Parrish. “Every day he gets a little stronger. A lot of therapy is ahead.</span>

<p class=”p2″><span class=”s1″>“The goal now is to get him strong enough to transfer him to a rehabilitation center in Denver.”</span>

<p class=”p2″><span class=”s1″>Parrish said the event will include swimming and a movie by the pool.</span>

<p class=”p2″><span class=”s1″>“We’re going to have a dinner and a raffle. So many businesses in Preston have been wonderful, coming together and donating so many items for this raffle.”</span>

<p class=”p2″><span class=”s1″>She said some of Noah’s friends are part of a band, <em>Nothing Yet</em>, which will play during the event.</span>

<p class=”p2″><span class=”s1″>Cost is $10 which includes swimming and the musical performance, or $5 for those just attending for the band’s concert.</span>

<p class=”p2″><span class=”s1″>“Suggested donation is $5 for dinner and raffle tickets are $1 each or six for $5.”</span>
