The Cache County Council meets Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. and 30 minutes later a public hearing on the proposed 2014 budget that includes a 10 percent property tax increase will be held.
The budget also proposes a two percent pay increase for all county workers with non-council elected officials scheduled to get a four percent pay increase. County Executive Lynn Lemon has explained that non-council elected officials were not included when a $200,000 pool of money for pay increases was divided among workers last time.
County council members will not be giving themselves a pay raise. Also on the agenda is a proposal to consolidate the Cache County Clerk and Auditor offices.
