There are mixed emotions as the Beaver Mountain ski area has its official opening Monday. That is because something important is missing this year.
Longtime co-owner and manager Ted Seeholzer passed away last May. Friends and relatives, along with those who have come to Beaver throughout the years, say they will sorely miss the popular Beaver spokesman and cheerleader. But they say his wife Marge, who has been a full partner from the start, will be carrying on Ted’s work along with other family members and capable workers.
A lot of people are expected to head to Beaver for the opening Monday. There were 25 inches of light new snow and there are three lifts running as well.
