An event connected to the American Cancer Society’s “Relay For Life” is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 6 at the Logan Rec Center.
“Dancing With The Relay Stars” begins at 6 p.m.
“Relay For Life is a summer event. But one way we like to kickoff our relay season is by getting the community involved, getting the teams to come out and getting everybody signed up,” said Stacey Moss, Team Development Chair for Relay For Life.
She said two years ago they came up with the idea of “Dancing With the Relay Stars” as a way to have fun, raise money and get more people involved in Relay For Life.
Members of the community, filling the role of “stars” will be paired with accomplished dancers. Those dancers will choreograph a dance and teach it to the stars and then perform it with the star.
Local studios and ballroom dance teams will perform as well.
This family-friendly entertainment event includes a $5 admission, or $3 with a can of food, or $15 for a family of six.
Relay for Life is July 11.
