LOGAN — Police are still investigating gun shots heard Sunday night near 30 East 100 South. Logan City Assistant Chief Jeff Curtis said residents called police to report hearing gun shots around 8 p.m.
When police arrived, they found nine shells in the roadway. Curtis said officers could not find any bullets and no property was reported damaged.
Considering the timing of the incident and the Superbowl that was finishing, Curtis said “the shots may have come from an overly excited fan.”
An investigation into the shooting is continuing.
