Oakley Nelson, a Republican and lifelong resident of Box Elder County, has announced that he is launching a campaign for the Utah House of Representatives for District 1.
Ronda Menlove currently occupies that seat in the Utah State legislature. In a press release, Nelson said he will work on issues that are important for his constituents. He says he is committed to making education a legislative priority.
He also says he will be an advocate for economic growth. Nelson serves as a member of the Elwood Town Council and he is the Box Elder County Republican Party’s legislative chairman. Nelson is also a student at Utah State University.
